What are these tests anyways?
High cholesterol usually doesn’t have any signs or symptoms. The only way to know if you have high cholesterol is to get tested!
So what even is cholesterol?
Cholesterol is a waxy substance that your body needs, but only in the right amounts. Unhealthy levels can lead to high blood cholesterol.
This test measures your total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglyceride levels.

Did you know...
This test requires a 12-hour fast which means no eating or drinking, except water, within 12-hours before you collect your sample. For the most accurate results, wait at least two months after a heart attack, surgery, infection, injury or pregnancy to check cholesterol levels. Source
Your cholesterol numbers are important, but they are just part of your overall health! We encourage you to share your results with your healthcare provider so they can provide you with more specific recommendations on any medication or lifestyle changes if needed.
