What are these tests anyways?

Small but mighty! The thyroid gland is a small, butterfly-shaped gland in the front of your neck that makes two hormones: thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). These hormones control your metabolism and manage how your body uses energy and effect all organs. These tests check to see how your thyroid is working. They can also help find the cause of problems such as hyperthyroidism (your body makes too many thyroid hormones) or hypothyroidism (your body makes too few thyroid hormones).

Did you know...

The Thyroid Health binx box uses samples from your blood test to accurately measure thyroid-specific hormones by our certified and experienced partner labs. Each lab has a different range for what is considered normal, and your lab report will show the range the lab uses. The “normal” range is just a guide. We have ensured that the variation is within acceptable ranges according to highly regulated lab standards. Your numbers are important, but they are just part of your overall health! We encourage you to share your results with your healthcare provider so they can provide you with more specific recommendations on any medication or lifestyle changes if needed.

If you are experiencing a rapid heartbeat, elevated body temperature, diarrhea, yellowing of skin and/or eyes, or severe agitation and/or confusion, we recommend an in-person evaluation.
